With several years of experience as journalist and writer, Daen contributes to a number of different publications. Special mention goes to the contributions towards exhibition catalogues and magazines, advertisement texts, interviews, and reviews for theatre plays, films, beauty products and fragrances.
Beyond this, Daen has previously translated between German, English and Spanish publications and several exhibition catalogues by ifa Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations and publications and documents by The Mexican Embassy in the United Kingdom.
On interviewing, Daen has interviewed the likes of Helen McCrory OBE, George MacKay, Paloma Faith and Douglas Booth. Beyond contemporary media, Daen has also conducted and published interviews with designers, such as Zandra Rhodes, artists such as Andrew Logan and business leaders such as Robin Sprong and José Angel Climent, CEO at Lizzo Fabrics.
Research projects have included features on Lord Frederic Leighton, Lawrence Alma-Tadema and Edward Linley Sambourne, former chief cartoonist of Punch magazine, in collaboration with The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Leighton House Museum and 18 Stafford Terrace.
